Back in 2014 we had the pleasure of creating a bespoke range of clothing and surfboards with L.A based 'The quiet life' a street inspired brand that creates stand out unique products that often uses repeat patterns at the basis for there collections.
We already had a project called 'glass and sew' which was set up off the back of our surfboard manufacturing. When producing fabric inlay Surfboards we are always left with a bit of fabric that we did not know what to do with, we started to produce exclusive limited edition pocket t-shirts and linings from the left overs. The 'Glass and sew' collection has continued to be an important part of the Watershed manufacturing programme.
"We launched the product in londoN, newquay and longbeach california, the range sold out in the first week"
As part of the collection we wanted to manufacture surfboards to sit alongside the clothing collection. The surfboards were manufactured in California at the bing factory and in the U.K at the Ocean magic factory.
We launched the collaboration in Boxpark in shoreditch, Port L.B.C in California the Watershed flagship in Newquay and online with Flat spot. The collection went down a storm and sold out within a few weeks. It was a great project and the success was down to how well the collaboration was collated.
